Have you ever acted on a statement from a business colleague without checking out the facts and gotten burned?

Proverbs 14:15 states, "The simple believes every word, but the prudent man considers well his steps."

We need to evaluate all business information we receive. Ask yourself key questions: Have I been given all the important facts? Or has the story been clouded by my personal perspective? Perhaps the person doesn't have all the facts and has rushed to a conclusion.

Often, under the pressure of business, we act quickly, without thoroughly evaluating a situation or all the information. The result is often a debacle.

Ask questions, consider the reliability of the person bringing information, and satisfy yourself that the information is complete and accurate. Then act.

Your decisions will be more effective, and your company will prosper.
