City rallies For good

forgood2017Forgood, together with its valued partners and sponsors (Vodacom4U, LinkFM, First City Baptist Church, Glencore, Mercedes-Benz South Africa, Iguana, Border Kei Chamber of Business, Eastern Cape NGO Coalition and Caltex Eastern Cape Marketer) invite you to participate in the 5th Annual  Forgood Inspiration Awards breakfast, which will be held at Mercedes-Benz Visitors Centre on 1 June 2017

All Non-Profit Organisations, caring groups or individuals are invited to enter their story on how they are making a difference within the community. 

Four finalists will be selected from all the applications and each will be guaranteed a minimum of R40, 000. The most inspirational story, as voted by the attendees of the Awards breakfast, will also be awarded a further prize based on the net proceeds of ticket sales from the breakfast. This could possibly equate to a further R40,000 depending on the attendance. 

Additional surprise awards will be made by corporate sponsors who enter their organisation’s profile on the Forgood website at www.forgood.co.za

HOW TO ENTER...

Submissions open on Monday 27 March 2017. Please follow the following format for your 2017 Forgood Inspirational Awards entry: 

  1. Provide your contact details (Name, Organisation, Email, and Phone Number) 
  2. Enter your organisation’s profile on the forgood website at www.forgood.co.za. 
  3. Write a 150 worded profile that introduces and gives a brief background to your organisation or group and what your objectives are. 
  4. Write a 100 word motivation that tells the judges what you would do with the money and how it would contribute to what you do, should you be one of the four finalist winners. 
  5. Prepare a 10 slide PowerPoint presentation (consisting of text, pictures, video, audio, etc…) that gives an overview of your organisation, what you do, how inspirational your work is and how it affects others. Please ensure the following is highlighted:
    The organisation, community needs and the solutions identified, important partnerships which assist the work being done (individuals, corporate, etc.…), challenges and achievements experienced and faced on a daily basis, success stories to date, ultimate vision, goals and objectives. 
  6. Prepare a three page script that is linked to the PowerPoint slides (in MS word format) that supports and tells the story of your 10 slide PowerPoint presentation. This should equate to a 10 minute presentation.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or dropped off at Vodacom4U Pearce Street, Berea or First City Baptist Church by 15:00 25 April 2017. The four finalists will be selected by a panel of independent judges and notified by 15 May 2017. 

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS 

  1. The independent judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into after the results have been made public. 
  2. Only the four finalists will be notified. Please check the LinkFM website, inspiration awards website or the forgood inspiration awards Facebook page for the four finalist, should you not be notified. 
  3. Previous winners may not be eligible for the prizes the following year only. We would encourage these four organisations to promote their cause in the months leading up to the event and at the event itself. 
  4. No late entries will be permitted after the 25 April 2017 cut off period. 
  5. All entrants must operate within the Buffalo City Municipality.
